Gemma arrived in Andorra in 1984, having just turned 18, and began working in the jewellery world almost from her very first day. What started as her first job quickly became a vocation: by the age of 20, she already had the opportunity to run her own business.

Joieria Meritxell and Joieria l’Àguila d’Or followed, the latter becoming a project that accompanied her for 35 years. Behind the counter she learned the trade, but above all she learned how to listen to, get to know and support customers through moments that often mean far more than a simple purchase.

When that chapter came to an end in 2023, Gemma decided to begin a new one. Gemador — a name inspired by her own — was born as a project entirely of her own. Today she works side by side with her daughter, continuing an approach to jewellery based on personal service, closeness and a selection designed so that everyone can find something, from a small gift to a piece for a special occasion.
